Paid Academic Mentorship Opportunity

I’ve recently gone back to university to study for a MSc (Conversion) in psychology.

Right now, I’m looking for an ‘academic mentor’ who can provide feedback on essays and guidance on how I can improve.

The mentor will be paid for their time and also receive free access to all Weekend University conferences for the duration of the mentorship.

If you would be interested, please email with a bit about your background and why you think we’d work well together.

Quotes to Ponder

“One day, an old chief was walking by the river with his grandson, thinking about what wisdom to impart to the boy. He told him that our minds are like the river: ever flowing. But within the flowing water are different currents, and so it is within our minds. Inside himself, the old chief said, he can sometimes feel two wolves: one is gentle and kind, and is a peace seeker, while the other is angry and aggressive. The grandson looked at the old man in wonder and asked, ‘Who will win, Grandfather?’ The old chief responded: ‘The one that I feed.’ (from The Compassionate Mind, by Paul Gilbert.)

“It is obvious that the only interesting people are interested people, and to be completely interested is to have forgotten about ‘I.’ ” ―Alan Watts

“If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being.” ― Alexander Solzhenitsyn

“All the heavy atoms the Earth is made of, all the atoms that are necessary for life, atoms that your body contains, were once forged in the heart of a star. When you breathe, you inhale them. When you touch your skin, or someone else’s, you touch stardust.” ― Christophe Galfard

“As soon as you look at the world through an ideology you are finished. No reality fits an ideology. Life is beyond that. … That is why people are always searching for a meaning to life… Meaning is only found when you go beyond meaning. Life only makes sense when you perceive it as mystery and it makes no sense to the conceptualizing mind.” ― Anthony de Mello
